Last Updated 08/07/2020

Summary

Monitor is an Android Application for tracking energy consumption by Daniel Stone.
If you choose to use my Application, then you agree to the collection and use of limited information in relation to this policy. I am committed to maintaining trust between myself and my users, hence, I would like to make it very clear that I will never sell any personal information that I collect on the Application. This is outlined below in this Privacy Policy which contains more details on the data I collect, how I use it and the limited conditions under which it is disclosed to others.
  • Crash reporting and analytics.

Information Collection and Use

In order to aid the development of the application, Monitor uses the following analytics software. I do not collect any advertising data myself, however the software below may. For this reason, please consider the linked privacy policy.
Upon signing into the application, I request your EnergyHive username and password that lets me generate an API token for their service. These login details are not stored on the device after the API returns a token. The token allows access to EnergyHive data and is stored on the device.
I may also share limited user data with a third party if it is required to do so by law, or if I believe that disclosure is necessary to a) comply with any legal processes b) enforce this privacy policy c) protect the rights, property or personal safety of the Website, its users and or the public.
I will not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.
This app does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect analytics information to help improve the app.

Security

I have implemented processes that should protect user information and security of data. Data is requested over SSL encryption to maintain its integrity. It is up to you to make sure that your login details remain secure. In case you believe that your email address has been compromised, please contact EnergyHive to protect your EnergyHive account.
In the case of a data breach that I am aware of, I will contact the affected users.

Linking Other Sites

This Application may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. By using the application with your EnergyHive account, you agree to any terms that they provide.

Children’s Privacy

This Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from Google Analytics. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided me with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do necessary actions.

Changes to the policy

I may periodically update this policy. When there is a significant change, I will notify users through the website in the form of a message. The version of this privacy policy can be seen at the top.
